There is almost an unwritten rule that when you go abroad you can let loose and not look after your health any more. After all, you're on holiday right? I can see why people think like this, people tend to work hard all year for long days and nights, a break should be a break!
As much as I agree with taking a break, I believe shutting off from work is more important than taking a break from being active altogether, in fact I would urge people to be more active during their holidays rather than sit by a pool or beach all day.
As a digital nomad I understand the struggles that may arise if you stay abroad for a longer period of time. You have a higher chance of getting into bad habits, not going gym/not being as active, smoking socially, drinking more, eating crap etc. I am not here to be your Grandad telling you off, I just want to show you that there is still a lot of fun to be had while keeping healthy and active, why does it have to stop?
Plus haven't you heard being unhealthy is so 2020.
Many people that enjoy the gym or keeping healthy and active don't really need this advice but even still I know plenty of gym goers that go holiday for 2 weeks and don't step foot in the gym, why? Well lets be real, a lot of the reasoning probably comes down to hangovers.
For those people that want to remain healthy or start becoming healthy and are going to be away for over 2 weeks, I hope these posts find you well.
I'm not here to spam your emails or call you a thousand times but if you wish to reach out for advice related to this blog, collaborations or to hear about what I have coming soon then feel free to contact me.
