Sipping cocktails is a thing of the past.
As an increasing number of individuals embrace sobriety, vacations with minimal to no alcohol might just be the trend in 2024.
Dry tripping then is going on trips, vacations, and extended holidays and staying sober.
A study conducted by Hotels.com revealed that over 40 percent of 20,000 surveyed participants expressed their likelihood to opt for a detox getaway in the upcoming year.
Additionally, half of the respondents expressed interest in accommodations that provide appealing alcohol-free beverage choices. Cheers to a new era of mindful and alcohol-free travel!
With the rise of health-conscious and gym influencers, alcohol sales have coincidentally dropped. This is great news!
I must admit to liking a drink or two when I am out with friends or on a beach somewhere but at my age (and mindset) I cannot see the fun in becoming blind drunk anymore.
There was a time when my friends and I would go on holiday and not remember most of it. It was fun at the time, especially in my early 20s or late teens but looking back it was also quite a waste. Not only of brain cells but of money and time.
If I could redo my 20’s I would not drink as much but I guess learning what not to do is just as important as what to do.
Fast forward to now and when I travel I look for adventures in hiking and keeping fit, this seems to be the trend now with the younger (and older) generations. I welcome it.
Embarking on dry-tripping means exploring the destinations from my blogs without a hangover. It's not just about the gym; hiking and swimming offer fitness alternatives. Health-conscious travellers find a way, and staying adventurous is key.
